What can be concluded from the initial data?

The measurement results obtained to date in the area of the Staudinger power plant present a strongly uniform picture of the air quality there. No single test station stands outside the guidelines by showing unusually high readings.

Given that this is only an interim result, it must still be stressed that no single test station produced data indicating a significant level of air pollution when set against the limits and guideline values that have to be applied. On the contrary: the levels measured are significantly below the currently effective limits and guideline values.

There is therefore no indication of a threat to public health on the basis of the readings of the TÜV in its measurement of initial pollution levels.

E.ON Kraftwerke has undertaken to emit a lower level of pollutants, after the commissioning of block 6 at the Staudinger site, than at the present time. It can, therefore, be stated that the emissions caused by the power plant will not have a negative effect on air quality in the future either.
