A project like the construction of a new power plant raises many questions. In order to start a dialogue with the various special interest groups in the region, Staudinger launched a Power Plant Forum in May 2007.

It is organized and chaired by the Institut für Organisationskommunikation (Ifok) from Bensheim as a neutral intermediary. Those taking part include representatives of politics, administration, citizen action groups, environmental associations, churches and businesses.

The participants meet at regular intervals. The topics that are discussed include: pollutant emissions, regional impact procedures, climate protection and renewable energy sources as alternatives to hard coal.
