Providing millions of people with power and district heating – safely, reliably and in an environmentally friendly way – that has been the task of the Staudinger power plant - for more than 40 years.

At the Staudinger site, power blocks 1 to 3 will reach the end of their technical and economical service life in 2012. In order to continue to make an important contribution to energy supply in the Rhine-Main region, E.ON Kraftwerke is planning to replace the three old power plants with a new, highly efficient one.
